What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

Posted by: Richard Dane on 29 December 2011

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Debs,

If you want a great three vinyl set? Try and find a copy of this?

This on vinyl is also stonking.

As is the CD and DVD.

Jimmy was having a un-Deaf day when the two above were recorded.

Concerto #2. The recording is showing its age but the performance remains outstanding.

Cheers,

Diamond Mine Special Edition [Collector's Edition, Extra tracks]

Out on the 16th April, will anyone be buying this?

Thanks for posting, I've just pre-orderd it. I also recently bought 'KC Rules OK' and a while back 'Bombshell'. Really loving his songs and collaboration with Jon Hopkins. Saw them in Norwich a few weeks ago and was transfixed with the live performance.

George.

George,

Have a listen to BBC Radio 6 music now or look on the web site.

They have just played some of the new disc and given release dates and tour news.

Regards,

Stu.

A friend introduced me to Schubert's Symphony No. 9 and I was hooked immediately.
