Hi Haim,
Have you been to any good live concerts of late?
Regards,
Stu.

I should not be listening to anything at the moment. After a late 2 1/2 hour rehearsal/coaching plus 3 hours practicing prior to this I am totally spent yet it will take a few more hours to unwind enough to sleep. It is back to the drawing board I suppose with an entirely different viewpoint to consider now. Robert Schumann is of course a genius but occasionally, like tonight, for instance, I like to think of him affectionately as a completely insane, schizophrenic, nut case. Tomorrow, he'll be back in the good books, of course.
So tonight I am not in the mood to listen to anything that has a piano in it. Franz Schubert happened to be the first thing I came upon so Franz Schubert it is.
This is bound to keep me up for some time...

I finally got around to buying "Ladies and Gentlemen..." last week and I could kick myself for not getting it sooner.
There was a special edition when it was first released with each track on a mini CD in a blister pack. Not something to open!

A wonderful listen for a rainy afternoon. Not a bad recording for 1926!

A Calexico album I found on my iTunes, it appears to be a live recording, maybe 11/08/09. Tuscon?
V good though.

My current two favourite gentle electronic albums.

Rick Smith (Underworld) 'Bungalow with Stairs'
Possibly my favourite album from the last few years, the music that we always associate with our daughters birth, quietly singing 'This girl goes to Japan' from 'Dreeve' to Ella in her cot in the first day of her life.

Arc (Mark Shreeve & Ian Boddy) 'Arcturus'
More old school electronic, but with great emotion and rhythm.
Both albums are getting played a lot in the car and home at the moment.
