What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

A really enjoyable CD, the best SBP so far. This deserves a 5.1 mix (so  much going on) & vinyl release.

Having fun testing cables, while listening to music (no test discs in this house). What better music to do so than a combination of voices, organ, and small orchestra, beautifully recorded?

Cheers,

I keep playing the first track over and over - Hollow Eyes, the beautifully haunting title track from the outstanding BBC4 program Danish/Swedish series, The Bridge.

Sweet spot of the afternoon, 15 yards behind the speakers, near the bird feeder, in a sunny patch of the back yard. Opened wide windows allowing Tatiana Nikolayeva to share her Art of Fugue with the finches and the blue jays.

Some soothing sounds before bedtime.

Love this track - 'SW9' - still available as a free d/l from XLR8R, and it didn't even make the cut for the above album, Fort Romeau's Kingdoms, on 100% Silk.

File under late-night, hypnotic, deep house.
