floid only the best of his Capitol years '88-'89, leaves many other years to have best ofs as well.
It's a great album though.

So pleased to see & hear Jo perform on the "Click" World Service show on Tuesday night.
Hear on BBC iPlayer http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p002w6r2
Had a good chat with her Producer, Jon Cotton, who is great friends with Tim Elsenburg from Sweet Billy Pilgrim. Jo is working on new material and may play a one off spring gig, until returning in the autumn for a new tour.

The 13 miles commute in the snow tonight gave me enough time to play it twice in the car.

Paul Badura-Skoda Plays Bach
Toccata in C minor/Italian Concerto/Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue/Concert No.3 in D minor
I've got him doing Beethoven's Emperor Concerto and liked it.
Plus Westminster Mono sounds just fabulous tonally and always feel very comfortable.

After dutifully practicing the Schumann Fantasiestücke for cello & piano last night, for an upcoming rehearsal, I found my way into the B-major Piano Trio of Brahms. I don’t think I played this piece for at least five years now since learning it but the memories come back quite quickly. Brahms is simply a genius. There are many composers I would like to meet personally and Brahms is certainly near the top of the list. Fortunately, the next best thing is to spend time with his music, which offers all the clues one needs to become acquainted with the man.
So after a very late night workout, tonight, the only sensible thing to do is allow a trio of Danish lass’s do the work.

Doug, you can have it all, including the 10F degrees of tonight as well as the 40 MPH wind.

Mo Wax, "Headz 2". Haven't heard these tracks for donkeys years and they sound so good. James Lavelle has a lot of faults and a lot of UNKLE's recent output has been variable, but Mo Wax really was a seminal independent label of the 1990s. So glad I came of age listening to this stuff. DJ Shadow's "Endtroducing..." is still my all time favourite album and I cannot be objective about him as an artist.
