What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Anyway, links:

On the blue and purple thick stuff. This band had to go some to make an album to touch there first? Conditions.

Well they have done it with this imo.

The two blue and purple LPs on heavy vinyl plus book of artwork comes in a lovely fold out triple cardboard sleeve.

Also comes with the download code.

The vinyl is good quality and both pressings are very good.

There is a brilliant track about the riots last year on it called London's Burning.

Not bad for a band from AUS.

A must have imo.

Atomic Rooster - Death Walks Behind you.  Very cathartic album.

One of my favourite albums there Tony .... Vince and John D at their best. In The Hearing Of was even better, but then Cane fell out with Du Cann and tried to edit him out. The problem was that Vince became jealous of John's success with Devil's Answer, which stormed up the hit parade. Still John and Vince reunited in the late 70s to make a punk album called Atomic Rooster as opposed to the first AR album which was called Atomic Roooster and featured Carl Palmer. John later had another hit with Don't Be A Dummy. AR were one the great bands of the 70s, but it went a bit sour ...

Things i didn't know??

Al bought his first guitar from Andy Summers then learnt his first licks from Robert Fripp.

He didn't play the best Guitar parts on this his greatest album.
