What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

When who are the brain police was played on juke box jury, Katie Boyle voted it a miss and I was probably wondering why I'm here.

Still in the end it is a case of blow your harmonica son.

Meanwhile I'm listening to

Excellent CD, but not available in vinyl unlike the new VDGG album which is available in vinyl, but isn't anywhere near as good.

Still have it.

I cant stand the rain had been out for a few months at the time.

We got in the club well to early.

She was the last act on around 10 after some good bands.

Went to a club Thursdays in High St Ken after.

My head hurt  for the next two days.

Stu has been listening to  a lot of Zappa stuff lately.  Last time I did that was back in the 70s and my mother still blames for the damage to her favourite mirror. Hope you're alright, Stu.

Peter is a very gifted man and as Guido rightly pointed out,  all the albums he released  alongside VDG have always surpassed them in sound and creativity. The Fall of The House of Usher springs to  mind and  it sounds superb on vinyl.

Reiner + Rubinstein. Two old pros working tight together.

Very different style and presentation from my fave Richter/Wislocki but just as expressive.

Tony,

My best mate in this world is called Tony.

Who i miss big time because i don't see enough of him since he moved to Switzerland as a tax exile.

He got me into Zappa and Caravan many years ago.

His brother is Mike Ross some times Mike Ross^Trevor.

Top bloke and a great recording engineer.

The Paul Simon doc/film last Tuesday brought back some great memory's

Mike worked on the Lady S BM album that shot them to fame.

You can google Mike and see what he has worked on over the years.

He loves Elvis and Quad but i don't hold it against him.

Peter Hammill?

The mother of the mother of Peter's children is my fathers child hood sweet heart,

They have been great friends for 70 years.

Sevenoaks was a wonderful place back then.

Almost got wed a few years back.

She lives in the us in Beverly hills .

Thats another story though.

Stu.
