What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Anyway, links:

Bit of a story

By chance i came across this site

I'm testing a Micro Seiki MX-5 headphones on old  Akai am-2600 amp and rotel 965bx cd in computerroom, listening to Nirvana unplugged

Normally I listen with Naim XS, non-Naim PSU, Naim CD5, non-Naim PSU, chord crimson plus din, Micro Seiki BL-51 with MA-202 arm and Grado reference master, Logitech transporter with Crystal Cable reference connect, Nas 10T server with flac, Nat05 tuner, Dynalab st-2 antenna, Naca5 speaker cable and Tannoy professional monitor K3808 15", My girlfriend admitted they were big when i came home with them.

Earlier today I listened to "vinyl" Fats Waller Revisited by Jane Harvey "you fats.. me jane" , the other album I played was "vinyl" Boulevard of broken dreams IT'S THE TALK OF THE TOWN.

Some people say they still play vinyl as an excuse. I love vinyl, I still play CD once in a while, I love playing albums, mp3 is sheit and the future is for decent files and vinyl.

It is. I would like to hear this one in hi-res. Sounds great on CD. I ended up buying all their other albums as well recently - just great for chilling to.

I would say get the hi-res download it is excellent. I too am going to delve deeper into their back catalogue. All their releases are on the Linn site. At last something good to download.

Regarding LP one could really speak of "Cover Art". I'm missing this sometimes when playing CD or streaming.
