What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Knew Buddy was a top notch drummer but didn't realise he was also an accomplished singer.

The album is pretty good.

I prefer Vivaldi's operas and motets to his sonatas; but some weeks ago this record appeared at me; I jumped, really.

And what Naims produce here - outstanding sound quality.

Highly recommended.

It was me and I was directed to it by Stefan. We both own and deeply enjoy her CPE Bach disc on the Alpha label:

Thanks, Haim. BTW I own that CPE Bach record as well -- certainly a dear favorite of mine.
