What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Decca 2 x LP on grey and pink vinyl : )

Gosh!... last year in June this 40th year anniversary issue was released as a numbered and limited amount of only 500, and now a year and three months later there are still copies available from universal-muisc.co.uk for £24.99

Have to say it's a disgusting colour [imo] ...but music is fabulous! : )

Inspired by Haim's choice of Catoire, I found this cd containing music of this ( for me ) unknown composer, and I like it !!

Hi EJ

Jupiter is jolly nice when one is in the bath tub,

but for the musik i far prefer the sincerity of no.40

It’s darker, with operatic drama,

and even has some occasional shades of his requiem… imho : )

Firmly in Mozart's greatest hits territory! But agree, a great work
