First play of my 1st Sam Brown CD. An emotional album that's destined to become a favourite. I'll play my others (Box & Of The Moment) later.

I think it's pretty good. Have a listen to the samples on Amazon.

I am not and never have been a fan of Beth Orton. New album is rather terrific I thought. A real maturity to it but with the lightness of touch that always marks out great music.
Also far more impressed than I expected to be with Cold Fact by Sixto Rodriguez given the hype. The two worst things on it are both awful; both not written by him and both the subject of some concern by the man himself. There's the odd clunky turn of phrase and yet it stands up remarkably well. Indeed a couple of songs seem remarkably prescient and relevant to our times. I don't get the Dylan comparisons at all. He's not that but he is certainly a talent.

Mozart Piano Concerto No.18: Anda/ Camerata Academica des Salzbuger Mozatemums
Cool cover art but the contents are anything but. :x
I don't think Anda has one playful bone in his entire body.

Original Vinyl CBS 1969.
This album really stands the test of time. One of my favourite JW albums as it also includes some acoustic blues and great slide guitar as well as the fantastic blues rock he's more known for.

Wispelwey's third round of Bach's suites is an AMAZING set of records. Highly recommended!

Plexxx - what took you so long? Great album. Not many people explaining WHY as per the original post though. Rather have that than nice pictures I can Google anyway.
