Come on people. Posting album covers is all well and good but
a) that ain't what the thread is about, and
b) most of them can't be viewed or zoomed properly on mobile devices.
c) OP - WHY?

Two albums that I'm a little bit obsessed with at the moment.......

The XX - Coexist

Ane Brun - Changing Of The Seasons

WHAT "earlier" ...... - just 'kidding'.
Strange to say your earliest A & the Js post prompted me to buy their (?) 1st album.
Will now follow that up with "I yam a Bird Now" (On Popeye label)

I Am A Bird Now is magnificent. A one off. Works because of the odd juxtaposition of gospel roots and lyrics talking about the individuals relationship with others rather than God etc.

A case of 32 words being worth a million pictures.

Why ?
Because I like it (and I've not seen it on here before)

Emily Remler: Take Two

Why? Simply because I have tended to bypass this album preferring 'East to Wes', 'Transitions' or even 'Catwalk', but I have been playing this in the car all week and have just realised how spectacular it is. Recommended listening!

I am glad that I am not the only one who likes the music of Emily Remler. She is not one of those big stars for sure but I think she is very talented. Too bad she left us so soon.

I have all her CDs/LPs and the DVDs. I have also transcribed a couple of her pieces which are now shown on the allthingsemily.com website, which I thoroughly recommend as it also includes hundreds of live recordings of Emily. A much missed talent.

Tharaud's latest is a lighthearted hommage to Parisian '20s cabaret, lots of fun.

Take a generous dose of Colombian musical genres, throw 'em in a pot add a pinch of Sabbath and away you go. Try and sit still, I dares ya!

I've just picked up this analogue reissue from Pure Pleasure Records. It has always been a favourite album and this reissue replaces my worn original copy. Great Jazz Rock from a group of very good musicians. This reissue is of very good SQ although the analogue tape hiss is still present as on the original but I can live with this,
Steve

Incidentally, does anyone know anything about the 2012 release of this (and The Colour of Spring) on Amazon. Not listed as remaster. Thanks.
Neil, I have a copy of the 2012 release of Colour of Spring. Back shows it as a digital remaster 1997, then dated 2012. I guess it is a re-release of the digitally remastered version from 1997? Can't see anything to say the 2012 version has different mastering etc. Sounds good though, though I don't have the original to compare it to!
