I love his earlier Beethoven Concertos than his later effort. Pity this poor recording which sounds like a toy piano coming out of a small table radio.

A first listen to my favourite chamber music setup, by two musicians who I normally don't like really that much .....

Once it was good for selling cars, now it is good for selling everything...

Mendelssohn's early piano quartets, by the excellent Fauré Quartett (a dedicated piano quartet group).
Cheers,

And an update by myself
IMHO a not very well balanced duo.
Sol Gabetta not as energetic and powerfull as her counterpart Hélène Grimaud.
Next please ....

Original Vinyl
'Put the needle on the record' in memory of Howard H Scott RIP.
There are some very good songs here featuring Jesse's intelligence, wit, warmth and soulful country voice.
Graham.

Original Vinyl.
'Desert Shore' (1971) by Nico, who sang with the Velvet Underground. This album was arranged & produced by John Cale, who is on Later Live with Jools Holland BBC 2 (22.00) tonight. It's just incredible; extremely haunting, poignant, dramatic, dark, light, heartbreaking, joyous, more tuneful than the amazing 'Marble Index' & far superior to 'Chelsea Girls' IMO.

Just played...

This is the Kit - Wriggle Out The Restless, who supported Sharon Van Etten on Sunday night. They were very then and I bought this earlier release from the gig. Newer material sounded good as well. I will see them again when they support Sharon at the re-arranged Shepherds Bush Empire gig in Dec. The gig was moved due to Sharon recording the Jools Holland show which goes out tonight & Friday. http://www.dreamboatrecords.co.uk/catalogue/wriggle/
