What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

Vinyl.

Oh how I love this album. The performances are spectacular and the SQ is one of the best I've heard on a live album.The whole thing is one very special event.

Inspired by last night's performance at the ROH.  This set might be over 50 years old but it still delivers;

Ballet Muisc From the Opera comes next...

Alan Parsons 'Turn of a Friendly Card', not the best he ever did but still worth a listen.

Sample tracks off the new Scott Walker album. Reminds me of Metal Machine music with vocals. Not for me. Challenging wouldn't be the word for it.

Rameau: Alexandre Tharaud

Even though he is going the wrong way, it's true, he's no slouch.

Fauré/Schubert/Debussy / The Sea / Henk Neven, Hans Eijsackers (2012)

This is a stunning record, every bit as good as Neven's first disc.

Cheers,
