What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Great album Graham one of a series of great Hiatt discs. You reminded me to dig out an acoustic album I got from John's website many moons ago of unreleased live performances that I haven't played in ages.

Nope it was available for a few years. I got two copies sent to me by his Management Team Young/Hunter shortly after it came out.

 Hi ewemon.

Please tell me more 'unreleased live performances' I am big fan of John's music. I have got some of his early stuff on vinyl "Slow Turning"  "Walk On” and the new one "Mystic Pinball”. However because of a very expensive divorce missed a load of his mid period stuff, would really appreciate some recommendations, If that is not being to cheeky

Regards Graham.

Hi Graham, no probs

The track listing for the set is

Crossing Muddy Waters
Angel Eyes
Ridin' with the King
Drive South
Perfectly Good Guitar
Tennessee Plates
Memphis in the Meantime
Little Head
Feels Like Rain
Cry Love

I added 3 trax taken from a live session on WRLT Radio to the compilation.

Everybody Went Low
My Old Friend
The Tikki Bar is Open

I also have a copy of the 2 Meter Sessions from Amsterdam from 97 but for some reason I can't find it at this moment in time. That was an acoustic session he did for a radio station in Holland

Re recommendations- not knowing what you have

Dirty Jeans and Mudslide Hymns
Bring the Family with Ry Cooder.
Crossing Muddy Waters
The Open Road
Stolen Moments
Live at the Hiatt- originally released as a promo -now out as a Ltd edition available from Amazon.

The only one most people don't seem to like is Little Head his last album for Capitol. Though I must admit I have a liking for it.

Never liked anything before Bring the Family

There is one other Promo of his I have been looking for sometime. One came up on another forum earlier this year but I missed it by about 5 mins. I have only ever seen one up for sale so I will keep hunting.

I also have number of other unofficial recordings of his.
