What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

1964 Parlephone. 1st press Stereo. Mint audio.

Mine too! Greg's written so many great songs over the years.  Living in Minneapolis, we've been attending his shows twice a year since 1989.  Even now, in the autumn of his career, is always a great evening of music and story telling!

Agree G, especially the title track.

Other albums in my collection are Eat/Kiss, Paris 1919, Helen of Troy and June 1, 1974. There are a few others I want though... if only funds allowed.

Again a 1st press Stereo copy. Interesting that that the stereo presentation is much more primitive than Hard Day's Night. My favourite of the early albums.

Unfortunately I have never had the pleasure of seeing him live.

'Great Opera Scenes' / Fleming, Solti (1997, original issue)

Solti didn't make many recital discs, but happily agreed to help boost Fleming's career with this spectacular recital disc.

Cheers,
