Mozart Symphony No.40: Abbado/LSO
Unusual DG Japanese pressing in 45 rpm.
Unlike other Japanese DG pressing I have from the 60s these Japan Polydor pressing sound is unbelievably good. Personally I never cared for Japanese pressing of Western records, but this pressing is excellent.
Wish they've made the 45RPM on my favourite Böhm or Lenny/VPO recording!
Accroding to the liner note, this record was produced in celebration for Abbado/La Scala Japan Tour in '81.

Another Stones LP that doesn't get enough credit for being as good as it is - Memory Motel and Melody are fave cuts from this one for me.

Thats the only Stones album I own and as far as I am concerned, that's enuf.
NOw I am trying to broaden my musical horizon, but boy, Enescu's piano sonata is tough.

Just curious, cello and piano is my favourite form of chamber music ..... So hardly can go wrong on that.

First play & good so far.
Released on the Burning Shed label, Chalk Lines is the second album from guitarist/vocalist Randy McStine's ambitious Lo-Fi Resistance project.

Bishop/Davis' Mozart Piano Concerto No.21.
Upbeat opening followed by the placid famous slow movement. Then finished off with a big *bang* finale. Piano is singing along the orechestra. This is a very pretty, ellegant Mozart score. Bishop delivers clean yet expressive and dynamic performance. He's trying to loosen up for a change. Davis providing ever so genteel backdrop.
I still need to hear Gulda & Fisher's but so far I like this set.
