What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Memories of New Year's Eves in Gosforth in the mid-80s. Great parties, great friends and an introduction to this guy's music. Am pretty sure I won't be going into any pubs tonight dressed as a pirate ship though.

Andy,

I have seen/heard that track blow so many pairs of speakers over the years.

Stu

Be careful with that volume control.

Just followed it up with some of this. The kids from next door have just been round to find out what that "Bangin Toon" was.....  their words not mine....

Volume well up tonight as the whole road is out.

I just wish i had active DBLs?

The active SL2s will have to do until next year.

Now this,  Fac Dance

Factory Records 12" Mixes & Rarities 1980-1987 on double black stuff.

L-Vis 1990, "Neon Dreams", such an epic album, but only just found it on my iPod.  Chief, is it one you have?

Talking of Factory Records....i've just given my original 12" single of New Order's Blue Monday a spin. That rattled just about everything in the house.  Happy Days

Heading next door for a party ....Have a Happy New Year everyone!!!!

All 3 CDs today.

Posted on: 31 December 2011 by Gale 401

Why?

Does one need a reason to listen to this classic LOUD other than every one within a half mile from me is out tonight.

Because its a christmas pressy , been patiently waiting to get my HDX back in use.

Worth it.

Brilliant.  I reckon Verve are by far the best for authentic jazz recordings.
