iTunes books question

I have downloaded a book, one of 12 days of christmas freebie.

Question, how does one "read" or listen to a book?

Various clicking and selecting doesn't start anything.

Is there something in the set-up?

It should be loaded into the iBook app automatically.

I think you can only read them on an iPhone or iPad using the iBook app.

It's a shame they don't tell that they only work on an iP** device.
