Good value , but that's all non-fishy stuff. Not sure I've heard anything by the "new" guy.

Is there a Bootleg Vol 1?

That is an amazingly good price for both box sets. What forces are at play here when Pink Floyd are charging c£90 for one album plus a few bits and these are under £20 and you get a lot more.....is it simply market forces and demand?

I must admit I don't get into paying the high prices PF (emi) are charging despite being a huge fan....
Any insight out there?

And who would you sooner listen to? Now be honest.

I'll give a clue to which I'd choose: White Riot, Complete Control, White Man in a Hammersmith Palais, Should I Stay I'd much sooner Rock The Casbah - after all This is England

Don't get me wrong the clash are superb but Floyd get more of a play in the Farthings cat household!

Both box sets came yesterday.

Both are great VFM.

The Clash CDs are all in white inner sleeves and the discs are black just like the old 45s.

The Clash set is a steal by the look of it.

I'd buy it - if I didn't have them all already. But if anyone hasn't then go get them.

And (If I'm allowed to say this) I've also discovered a few fantastic Clash live sets recently including superb ones of the legendary Bond's Casino gigs.

Enjoy.

Jon,

Its not just the singles,

12" and remixes.

Lots of other good stuff on the discs.

They also sound great.

I was at the night which had Grandmaster Flash as warmup

Funny how you can remember certain things - I remember being on line for tickets on a sunny day in Times Square for about 4 hours not knowing anything about the Clash.  At a certain point someone with a boombox started blasting THE CLAMPDOWN - I was hooked!!!

Ahh, now I think I might be going there!

That's phenomenal value.

And as for Gregg's actually being at one of the Bond's Casino gigs - I am officially jealous. One listen to the those concerts and you can tell they were very, very special indeed.
