Phew, this was great

I have just listened to Günter Wand's 1989 recording of Bruckner's 5th symphony, this time from a fresh new SACD. After 75 minutes of wonderful music and 5 minutes devotional silence I walked to the computer and ordered all what there is available from him on SACD. 250 EUR.

I had the opportunity to attend his performances of this Bruckner symphony on three occasions, one of them the above live recording. I'll never forget these concerts.

Günter Wand would have had his 100th birthday this month. I'm probably not the only one who misses him.
