I am fan of E.S.T. and like their specific new approach to trio jazz. Any suggestions besides the obvious ones: Neil Cowley, Tritochomy, FM Trio ?

Have a listen to Gwilym Simcock - a classically trained pianist who now plays and composes some great jazz. Perceptions is a good start but he also plays in several different trips and quartets including Lighthouse with Tim Garland and Asif Sirkis.
He plays worldwide but I have felt privileged to see him several times at a small intimate venue in Much Wenlock in Shropshire - google 'Jazz at The Edge' for full details of their forthcoming jazz concerts

This is a great thread and I missed it first time round - thank you everybody.
I've just ordered 10 CDs after making Spotify work overtime
Cheers, Tim
