n-stream doesn’t show genre

Since I updated my Uniti to firmware 3.9, n-stream (on i-pod touch) shows all genres as “unknown” – but after moving into the “unknown folder” the headline shows the correct genre. This problem occurs only with n-stream – “PlugPlayer” an “Kinsky” show the correct genre listing as well as the display on the Uniti. The files are stored as FLAC on a Asset NAS with Asset UPNP.

I have this as well on my ND5/NStream when I use either Asset or Foobar as a server. It was fine with the Logitech Media Centre or JRiver but I don't like those for other reasons. Likewise, an answer would be much appreciated!

I have exactly the same problem. My setup, too, is AssetNAS, Uniti (with 24/192 streaming board) and Ipod touch. When I use the TwonkyApp (or Kinsky) everything is as it should be. I have contacted HQ two days ago - no reply yet.

It is a communication problem of which naim and illustrate (asset) are aware of. I suppose they are working hard to so

Thanks, Simon, that is what I thought when read Spoon^s latest information v4. I did, however, not manage to install v4 beta. Downloading the WHS v1 version from the first post in the respective thread, copying it to C:/ of my AssetNAS, removing v3 using add/remove programs worked fine. Even the installation went correctly. But when I verified the version after a reboot of the AssetNAS, it still showed v3 ...

Hi adca that indeed sounds strange, certainly if you removed the earlier version. Mine say says version 4 beta on the info screen. Perhaps one for Spoon's forum....

Perhaps best go back to the V3. That had no issues as far as I can remember, although had somefeature limitations that you can probably live with until the full V4 which is due next month.

Thanks Simon – I installed Asset V4 and after fiddling around with WHS1 for an hour my setup works fine.
