Album troubles

Hello,

New to Naim and HiFi generally, but managed to set up a UnitiQute and QNAP NAS running Twonky 6.0.38. Twonky pulls music from two separate iTunes libraries and most of the time seems to work OK.

Although I've scoured these forums numerous times addressing various problems and niggles, one thing I haven't been able to iron out is a problem with albums. When I select them on the UQ via its remote it just says . If I rescan or rebuild the twonky database it shows some albums initially, but on completion they all disappear.

Conversely, if selecting the albums via n-Stream, the albums do show but when selecting them the app just stalls.

Any ideas?

Above should have read:

When selected via its remote control the album list reads as EMPTY

Am I really the only one with this problem? It's driving me nuts not being able to just select an album and play it...

I can see that this must be very frustrating. Recently I recall a few people saying here Twonky was wonky and advising different UPnP servers. If you search, you should find the posts.

The best I have found is Asset UPnP but you can't install it on most NAS systems. I'd suggest then you make sure you're running the latest version of Twonky. Also, have a look on the QNAP and Linn forums; QNAP are popular with Linn DS users.

Apologies, I haven't offered much help but someone more knowledgeable should come along soon. Thanks!

Thanks for that.

Turns out I think I just had too many tracks assigned to no album. Tagging them all as [unknown] seems to have fixed the issue
