Leonard Cohen's Old Ideas

My copy of this was waiting on the mat when I got home tonight, and wonderful it is too. People suspected that Dear Heather might be is his last, but no, here is another and better still. Lugubrious, mellow and ubercool. Buy, buy, buy!

Splendid indeed. I came to LC late and generally prefer Ten New Songs to anything else he has done, but a few of these new tracks are up there I think

I dont know if you have seen my Jarvis Cocker talkes to Leonard Cohen on BBC Radio 6music thread.

It was on last Sunday.

It can still be listened to on the BBC 6 music site.

Well Worth a listen if you like his music.

Great minds think alike - I also came late to Leonard and that is the first album I started with.  What a masterpiece!  Try out "I'm your Man" and "The Future" which were right before Ten New Songs.  If you like Ten New Songs then you should hunt our Sharon Robinson's solo album "Everybody Knows" from 2008.  She collaborated with Leonard on all of Ten New Songs.

Just playing the new LP now for the first time - vinyl sounds nice!

Gregg, thanks for the suggestions.

My wife has pretty much got the rest of the LC back catalogue but might investigate the Sharon Robinson.
