Uniti FM/DAB problems since update

Posted by: Holger on 03 February 2012

Since updating my Uniti to Software Version 3.9 the FM and DAB radio does't work anymore. When switching to FM/DAB input the display only shows "Please wait" but after that nothing happens (waiting at least 30 minutes). All other inputs and functions work fine.

Before updating the firmware, I am able to get at least 10 FM stations and maybe 5 DAB stations.

Any suggestions?

Best regards,

Holger

Holger, have you manged to solve the problem? I have yet to make the update and this information you are sharing is a little bit disturbing. I am a regular FM listener so I do not want mess with the radio part of Uniti.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

No, unfortunately I could not solve the problem yet. Checked it with a new aerial (simple cable aerial), same result. Try to lend me an indoor aerial with amplifier to check that.

Holger

The update made a real improvement for me. Just went over to mine and switched to FM and all is fine. We don't have DAB so can't comment. Did you do the update yourself or did your dealer? Might be worth checking to see if you can just go through the update process a second time. It took less than 10 minutes.

Have you tried re-running the update?

As an aside, my first Qute had to be returned as the FM/DAB module just didn't work at all.

I have done the update a second time, no success. I checked the arial position with my
(kitchen) fm-radio and my IPod, both get about 20 channels.
I have no idea

When you ran the update did you have a network connection between the PC performing the update and the Uniti, and was there a DHCP server attached to the network?

It might be worth checking that you have the handset keys mapped correctly in the settings.
