Online Customer "Service" sites

Just been trying to email LG about my new external DVD writer drive (purchased to rip my CD collection and save my laptop drive from imminent destruction).  I bought it from Currys/PCWorld (because I wanted it NOW).  Works fine, but came with a 2 pin electrical adapter (of the slide in variety) for its power supply rather than the standard UK 3 pin one.  As I find my adapter/converter plug a little flakey (internittent contact if you just touch it), I decided to contact LG about getting the correct 3pin adapter

Got to the customer service bit, entered my details, couldn't enter the model number because it didn't seem to be one of the models listed.  So, the damn site won't let me post the email.  I'll have to wait till Monday and try Live Chat via internet, or pay the charges for an 844 telephone number.

Far from being  the first customer service site to exhibit similar behaviour that I have come across.  Think they just don't want us to bother them?

How far away is Currys/PC World?

No doubt to save embarrassament they would supply you the correct adapter, gratis, without haggling ...

Open on Sundays [10:00 till 16:00 hours] at least in mainland Britain.

Already tried that.  They referred me to LG customer service!

I'd have thought it would be illegal for the to sell something with the wrong plug.... Surely this is currys problem to sort out.
