2 channel and AV integration

Posted by: Big Jo on 02 March 2012

Hi All,

I currently have a 2 channel Naim setup, and really would like to utilise those speakers with an AV setup, how would I connect an AV receiver to my 2 channel setup? Is it simply a case of taking the analogue out of the AV receiver and plugging it in to my 202? If that is the case, how would that work in terms of volume etc, would I need to change the volume on the 202 and the AV receiver?

Kind regards

Jo

The second half of this thread talks about this very thing here:

A post from Dungassin includes a link to an Naim FAQ which goes into detail on how to do it for both non-naim A/V receivers and the AV2. The key thing to achieve easy volume control is to program the A/V input on the 202 for Unity Gain which once done will allow the A/V receiver volume control to manage the volume of all channels including the front two passing through the 202.
