Airvinyl app?

Posted by: analogmusic on 14 March 2012

There is a new app for iphone and Ipad called Airvinyl, which claims to bring the analog warmth to digital music. This is a very big claim. I have tried it, and I can't really tell if it does bring analog warmth, but it does something, which makes listening to digital files more pleasant.

I'd like to know if anyone else has tried it?

So in essence you like tone controls and reverb?

I did not say that at all.

In fact there is a bass boost which personally dislike a lot.

It just seems like a tall claim from a very reputable studio?

Shame you cannot choose your deck from a selection of classics!

Looks a bit of a gimmick really. If you need something like this to make digital files sound better (unless they are compressed to hell MP3's) then something else in the chain needs looking at.
