SuperUniti and 192 kHz Super High Def Edition

As you know, the SuperUniti was Naim's first 192 kHz compliant streamer/amplifier. Having downloaded the "Meet Me In London" album in the 192 Super High Def Edition, I listened to the album on my SuperUniti (wireless) but the frequent dropouts and buffering forced me to hard wire the connection to wired ethernet. OMG, it was one of those jaw dropping moments! Everything just sounded so much more 'live'. It was like moving from normal tape to Dolby Chrome tape!! I had originally thought that the differences were quite marginal but how wrong was my thinking! 192 is leaps better than standard 44.1!! This is technology for you, ever pushing the boundaries of better SQ!

I had the same drop out problems with this recording. My usual Ethernet over mains won't satisfactorily carry 192/24, though it's fine at 96/24. My short term solution, since I can't run a hard wire over the necessary distance, is to bung the thing on a memory stick, and plug that into the front of the SU. That works just fine.
