Ryan Adams and Laura Marling at Abbey Road on tv?

Posted by: Gale 401 on 24 March 2012

I had to take some pain killers in the early hours last Tuesday /Wednesday.

So turned the screen on in my bedroom.

Chan 4 Abbey Road sessions had just started with the above people playing on there own and together.

It was wonderful.

Also it was great to hear Ryan talking about his first record deal ,9 albums.

He said he could not wait to get out of it, as pro-tools was just coming into music and he hates pro-tools and what it was doing to music.

He went on to say once he left that record company, He wont have a computer anywhere near his music.

Good man imo.

If you get a chance to see the show? Do it was something special.

Hi Stu,

I found these YT clips of the Abbey Road show...

Here's Ryan on KCRW...

Morning Becomes Eclectic's host Jason Bentley chats with Ryan Adams

Here's the entire KCRW 70 minute broadcast: an intimate solo performance with singer/songwriter Ryan Adams recorded at Apogee Berkeley Street Studios in front of a live audience.

I think Ryan is an exceptional artist and highly recommend his album "29". Every bit as good as "Ashes & Fire", darker and in some ways better. I enjoy them both anyway.

Denis,

Thanks for that.

I have been a fan of his for years.

Bought a shed load of his early vinyl cheap from hmv.

Would love to see him and Laura live togeather.

He made my year when he said I hate Pro-Tools and i wont have a computer any where  near my music ever again.

Interpol's first two vinyl albums are out again on vinyl soon.

£8 each inc free post from hmv.

You have mail.

Stu.
