Any chance for a small old-fashioned boutique where I can spend some time with a physical touch of the product I'm about to buy?

Try Reckless Records in Soho - Berwick St I think.

There's also that big place on Notting Hill Gate that's been there forever.

There are 3 record shops in Berwick Street including Reckless Records.

Its close to the hotel I was staying at (The Glasshouse). ISTR it's about a 10 minute walk from the Royal Mile
