Curious how you stream?

I don't stream. I'm currently playing CDs and anticipate my next purchase will be a turntable.

I rarely use an ipod, and when I do I listen an entire CD at a time, rather than skip around individual songs or use shuffle mode.  I guess it's just part of having grown-up in the 70s listening to LPs.

I once heard Paul Simon say he thinks that albums may someday fall by the wayside, with artists releasing primarily singles.

How do you dedicated streamers usually listen to your music?  Do you tend to play an entire CD/album, or do you prefer to set up playlists of singles by a variety of artists?

Sorry, for the many typing errors Joerand. (I was in a bit of a rush)

I do like the fact that I can select any album/song I like, (from a collection of around 550 ripped CD's) by using an Ipod Touch in the palm of my hand.

On the other hand, I prefer a normal remote and sometimes miss the tangible bonus of picking a CD oud of a shelf, looking at the cover-art. (instead of staring at the small screen of my Ipod, which has to be rechard every 2 days or so)

So, as much as I've gotten used to streaming and like its advantages, I wouldn't really mind if I had to go back to CD either.

regards,

Alco

I recently begun streaming.   Just got a NAS too.   For the past week have been skipping around like a kid.   So many tracks I like that I was too lazy to listen before.  With remote in hand I rarely listen to consecutive tracks.  If I'm doing something else the whole album could b played.  Also wife and kid like different music making it free for all.
