Does it have a peelable banana?

Regrettably not, but I have some in the fruit bowl. Satsumas too.

Chris

Is the aniversary version of Horses worth getting - it has the south bank concert with it I believe? I have never owned the original album - one I never get around to buying.

I've decided to get the 'legacy' version anyway - it's only £9.99 on Amazon. I've also ordered Gang of Four's Return the Gift, with new recordings of som of their best stuff, and a CD of remixes. A retro Christmas beckons.

I played it this morning. Very powerful stuff. The Amazon price was an incentive to me too. Rather missed the Patti Smith thing first time around so this is a bit of a better late than never thing!
I have to say that every CD I load into my new system makes me stop what I'm doing and just listen. I had no idea just how real the Naim effect would be!

I always preferred Radio Ethiopia, but will be interested to hear what you think of the remastered version of Horses.

Even today, live, she is a force of nature.

It will get even better as it all runs in. The only Patti Smith record I owned on vinyl and bought at the time of release was Easter.

Clearly no-one has bought anything for four days!! The Patti Smith arrived today. Overall I like it, though some of it is self indulgent twaddle. It's very intense, and I needed to unwind with Bill Evans' wonderful 'Peace Piece' from 'Everybody Digs Bill Evans' afterwards.

Variety is the spice of life.

My resolution for 2006 is to buy nothing but actually listen to everything I already own at least once! Every CD I put into my new rig is a revelation!

Stefan,

No rejoicing since the music has not arrived yet. I also went to your site JPC and sampled the music Huw and you (rhimes real well) posted for your 2005 purchases and ordered:

Menge Medium Bestellnummer Titel Preis
1 CD 1984338 Gleda EUR 19.99
1 CD 3340060 Neighbourhood EUR 15.99
1 CD 6190703 Journey To The Centre Of An Egg EUR 14.99
1 CD 9040755 Nomad EUR 16.99

So I have 8 discs on the way, and that should do for a while.

Thanks again for the advice and the site info.

Regards,

Haim

PS
Are those considered good prices?
