Leontyne Price's second recording of Forza does not better her first with Schippers, but Domingo and Milnes are a great duo here, and Levine manages to keep this opera together like few others.

Playing all 4 of this cd set tonight, which at this moment is serving as a splendid aperitif (along with a few glasses of red wine) as I cook my evening meal.
I also have this same, Frans Bruggen Tafelmusik on vinyl somewhere, which sounds even better on the sondek, although the my little Yamaha cdp is doing admirably well under the circumstances.

Wollny, Kruse and Schaefer - one of the best piano trios out there right now.
