I have never heard of her,but will go find.I love the overlooked.

You won't regret it.
Vary hard to describe someone in relation to others but I'll go for Lucinda Williams with a generous helping of Chrissy Hinde.

and definitively heartfelt.

La battaglia di Legnano, one of Verdi's lesser known works. Verdi did not write a single bad opera, but between Nabucco and Luisa Miller his works (Ernani excepted) tended to be fairly routine, with fleeting moments of inspiration and set to workmanlike texts. Most were recorded by Philips in exceptional performances. This 'Battaglia' has Carreras and Ricciarelli at their rare best before vocal decline set in.
