PS: Glad I got out of the UK in time, bit nippy here this morning, only about 18C but should go into the mid twenties by noon. Razz

Hi kk, Was a slightly mischievous post of mine after spotting your Bon Iver post, as the album samples a couple of his songs, and includes a track built around 'Woods' from Blood Bank - it's called My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I loved his first couple of albums, but five years on, I'm not really feeling it.

Still confused? I was hoping whosampled.com would explain it better, but Def Jam have probably pulled the track.

I left that link in for you anyhow, as it's a nice site for wiling away a spare half an hour. As an example, put Portishead in the search box, and you can hear all their Lalo Schifrin, Weather Report, and Isaac Hayes samples in full.

CC

Edit: I see King Size just beat me to it!

Cheers CC. Really like his work. The daytrotter sessions is nice to have also.

George Michael - Listen Without Prejudice. If you think you don't like George Michael then really, give this a listen. There are some lovely songs on this album, "Cowboys And Angels" being as good as anything he has ever done.

Don't care what anyone says - he's one of the greats!

No problem CC, the experience you describe is the reaction I get when I play some of my music at HiFi bakeoffs Smile. The Outputmessage album always impresses me when I play it I think it is a special album. Need to get some Monolake in my collection though.

Nice. I remember giving a workmate a lift home when that came out... Drove off, thirty seconds into 'Sleep Deprivation' he asked me nervously, "What's that NOISE??" Thought it was something outside the car - lulz.

Thanks for the Outputmessage recommendation, btw. I looked it up on Boomkat earlier, and it's another one for my list.
