Glad to hear you say so Joe. I was expecting it today but was out of luck. Tomorrow should see it arrive. Even more looking forward to it now. Cheers, Paul.

This was the fifth attempt at the Paolo fellow. Had to take it off before the end though. I was eyeing my wrists and longing for a blunt blade.
Funny I get exactly the same feeling with Leonard Cohen plus I also want to down a bottle of paracetamel as well as anything else I can get my hands on and that's before the end of the first song.
Lol. Must agree there. A friend and I have to have a music truce when visiting each other. He doesn't play Cohen and I don't have him shot.

A pleasant bit of relaxation, Jason Rebello, A Clearer View, on vinyl. (No image on Amazon, oddly).

Wow Steve. Not many people with that album in their collection. That was pretty much one of the first jazz albums I bought and fell in love with. Saw him many times live in those days - then he went off to become a monk for a while. Now he plays for Sting and Jeff Beck. Going to join you.

Popped into HMV today and they had some ECM New Series cds so I thought I would try half a dozen. First up...

It was listening to the original Jazz FM back when it came out that put me on to him.
In a similar mood Vernell Brown Jr, A Total Eclipse. Which Amazon don't have either...How odd.

I used to listen to JazzFM at the beginning but it did not take long for it to go all muzak. Still thanks for reminding me to play this - it has been a while.

I remember attending a 10000 Maniacs gig when I was at Uni. One of the guys I was with swore blind that Natalie was eyeing him for the duration of the set. As obvious a case of wishful thinking as I've ever come across.
(Obviously, she was looking at me the whole time)
