What makes it particularly special, apart from the music, is the recording quality.

Miles showing the world of Jazz what the future is going sound like, awesome!

Quotes from CD: His new music is pure arrogance. It's like coming home and finding Miles there, his fancy feet up on your favorite chair"

"I'd like to think nobody could be so easily pleased as to dig this record to any extent"

"nameless faceless go-go music"

Go Miles sock it to 'em Smile

True, all their albums are superb sounding, and one of the things I love about European jazz - they know how to record music.
