NICE! Smile

Hi Oliver,

I have been enjoying the first set of releases. Looking forward the rest.

Pat

These are the SACD versions of the Music Matters vinyl that has been coming out this past two years remastered by Steve Hoffman.

I have these versions on 45RPM vinyl and they sound great. I bet they sound great on SACD.

Pat - the packaging on the vinyl is as good as you will get on record - beautiful quality. How are the SACD's? Cheers

Hi Lontano,
I actually have the XRCDs, not the SACDs. They are releasing 25 titles this year on XRCD. I think they sound great. I hadn't realized they already released them on vinyl. Very cool.

These are the XRCDs not the SACDs, they are not mastered by Steve but get his highest praise. The packaging is sensational IMHO.

Sorry me being dumb - I meant XRCD. Here is the music matters website with the vinyl releases. It looks like AudioWave are releasing the same ones on XRCD. Joe Harley is involved in both projects. Should be really good.

Complete release list thru 2011.

It's getting confusing then (my fault). Wonder why Steve did not do them for Joe when he had done them on the vinyl?

The Credo from Mozart's incomplete Great Mass in C minor. Gardiner on Philips.

I had forgotten how marvelous this is. Will listen to the whole recording later. Last time I listened to it right through was 10 years ago right after performing it in Ripple Parish Church near Tewksbury in 2000! It is one of the few Gardiner performance on disc that I really enjoy. At the time I did not care for it as a piece! That has changed, as it seems ideal now!!!!
