I was there when it all started in Trocadero and at The End in the middle and finally at Fabric and I literally have the t-shirt to prove it!

EMI/HMV mono LP (p) 1966

On charity shop vinyl purchased a couple of years ago for 10p
Interesting musik that's obviously been very much loved and pre-played in the past which may account for the frustratingly poor vinyl quality.

But the good news is; i await Stephen Kovacevich's version of Diabelli Variations (on disc 5 of his 6 cd box-set) and no worn vinyl noise on those i bet! : )

Pat, you are the one I saw posting this and other albums of IM. This kept showing up on year-end lists and now I understand why. In researching it here at the forum, Ewen referenced Autumn Shade "Ezra Moon" for those liking IM, so I took the dip, it is playing now and is quite good. Not sure I would listen to IM, AS and OTR all-in-a-row too often as they are very similar, but all stand well independently. I love this place.

Have a good week.

Hi Debs,

Funny you should mention the in-bound set as I have played the Diabelli Variations from such this afternoon - I don't think you will be disappointed.

First listen....

I'm wondering how to listen to this album. There are 3 discs, and that might be more for me to take in. I'm thinking about taking it one disc at a time. Any thoughts?
