Talk about spooky, exactly as I read Stefan's post, Bill Deasy (who I am listening to) sang "Home is where the heart is" !!
Hope you are well, Stefan.

Worth while having, in my view. Modern (almost) big band plus electronics that (for a change) do not appear in the wrong place.
You should also check the latest Sauer/Wollny/Kühn on ACT if you haven't already. An early contender for the top-10 of 2010, even if it still is a 2009 CD…
cheers

Well the sound is not too bad either. BTW, both the Black Triangle and the Pastmasters have this cover, beats me why they changed it for the US and European releases.

Reminds me of the 'limited edition' Neil Young gold CD set which was supposed to have only 2500 issued. I have #3800. Go figure.

I bet you bought two just to be on the safe side

I could only get it from the US - Duty, VAT and Clearance Fees are starting to bankrupt me.

That's when I really miss Oz, no duty under $1000.

Me too - I used to love all those packs arriving from the US. Now I have given up here as it is such a rip off. Will probably do one order soon though and take the hit just the once.

Harpsichord Works
Suite no.1 in A major
Suite no.2 in F major
Suite no.3 in D minor
Suite no.4 in E minor
Prelude and Chaconne in G major (with 62 variations)
Isolde Ahlgrimm (1914-1995) ~ harpsichord
[ADD] edel classics cd @ 2001
Sleeve-notes are far too basic, doesn't say when or where performed, or what kind of harpsichord she played on this recording : (
But the digital remastering is excellent and the old harpsic sound very enjoyable! Very recommended disc imho : )
