Sounds interesting, and all available on the JPC website. If I wanted to try just one first, where's the best place to start?
Nigel - I have not played them in quite a while so not sure which I would recommend. Maybe Stefan will give a recommendation. They are all on spotify for listening.

Now watching a great performance of Beethoven's violin concerto (Vadim Repin) under Valery Gergiev. To be a followed by a superb performance of Stravinsky Firebird. In the Kurhaus Wiesbaden Rheingau festival.

Just got back from a listening session with Adrian. Finally got a chance to listen to the vinyl set up. Both vinyl and CD playback sounded superb.

Yesterday, my mood was right for Schubert and decided to work on the Moment musicaux, in particular. On deck were:
Today, time permitting, I will listen to Brendel, Arrau, Uchida, Perahia and Lupu. I'm afraid this will nicely lead into the Impromtus and Sonatas and maybe even the Lieder (Schubert and/or the Liszt transcriptions) this week.

One of my favourites the Schubert Impromptu D935. I saw this played by Paul Lewis in the Little Missenden festival (October) along with Beethoven's Diabelli Variations. Wonderful music

Dan Carney has posted (on the "Pianists are getting better" thread) his experience playing the D664 in a university recital this past week, if interested. I found it fascinating reading.

I don't have Schubert Sonatas but do have Dan's recommended Stern/Bach, which seems appropriate for the next choice.

Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet, on CD
With just about everyone going on about Porcupine Tree at the moment, I thought it was time I had a listen. It's a bit different to the only other PT stuff I've got (Voyage 34 Part 1 and 2), and it's dead good, although it sounds uncannily like Dream Theatre.
Anyone else feel really, really old every time they go into HMV?

Good to see you earlier Oliver and interesting to compare do CD versus vinyl listening.
