And a good one, too…

But there's so much more. Check out the Uri Caine collaboration or the Carla Bley Collab, his working with Ralph Towner (yummie), etc. Fresu is a real statement in contemporary music, IMHO

Jan Garbarek - Rites

Big gathering to demolish a four rib beef joint with all the trimmings. Relaxing after everyone has gone home/to bed, with remaining red wine and a nice fire. Feeling in a mellow mood, this reminds me why life is so good.

Nice one Nic. It is great relaxing music and what Jan does best. Just wish he had played more of this stuff at the gig I saw tonight.

The other CD I bought today is great OTOH. More, later

Stefan - it's a grower and you might find it a good album for driving to. I certainly enjoy it more in the car.

Played the Midlake twice in the car tonight. Excellent. To balance things out a bit I mentioned 2 five star reviews this got in The Independent and The Times. The Sunday times today gave it two stars. Just goes to show even reviewers can have very different opinions.

'Lo Stephen. What is it?

High quality atmospheric thought provocking Drum&Bass. The proper stuff, not all this bang bang whallop stuff that most might be familiar with.
Sends me away on a head journey everytime!!

Good if you have had a hard day and just want to take yourself to the cosmos and escape from earth. Cool
