My fault Jeff, I should have said I don't know his SOLO work... Winker

Great guitar player, great vocalist (ie: harmonies with Natalie), but unfortunately, not a great songwriter.

Gosh, Haim, I don't know classical music well enough to say much.

I simply like Edna's sound or style. She seems to have a light touch, crystalline clarity to her playing, to my ear, that I find most enjoyable. There is a "beauty" there that I don't always find in other pianists.

There certainly is a more confident style to her playing on the Bach and Schumann relative to the recording of her at the Van Cliburn 2001 competition nearly 10 years ago. She has some fairly extensive comments on Schumann's music at her site here

Thanks, Jeff.

Looks to me like you are entering the Romantic era... I will probably get the Schumann since I am enjoying a lot her other two discs.

First listen. Liking it quite a bit so far, but I think it'll take a few listens to really get it.
