This album gets played a lot here. I've been tempted to get it in the past. Will add it to the next order.

They are releasing some amazing titles and at least they aren't charging $50 like some other labels who see it as a niche product so the can burn you.

However cherry pick the titles as some were not mastered from the original tapes. Some titles have been mastered from digital copies.

The Tim Buckleys are supposedly excellent but Dusty in Memphis, Velvets and quite a few others aren't. Though in fairness some people do like these titles.

Apparently they also have quality issues with some of theirs discs as well.

Der Ring Des Nibelungen (The Ring Cycle)
1. Das Rheingold (2 discs)
2. Die Walkure (4 discs)
3. Siegfried (4 discs)
4. Gotterdummerung (4 discs)

So far I made it through Rheingold and Walkuere, Siegfried is next. Smile

"...Needless to say the direction of Solti, the performance of the VPO, and the revolutionary recording itself are beyond compare. However, looking back, one may say that it is truly fortunate the recording was conducted while Nilsson and Windgassen were at the height of their careers, and Hotter was only slightly past his prime as he portrayed Wotan. This is truly a monumental timeless performance and recording."

I would be interested in RT, Fairport and maybe Anne Briggs, but how are you to know how to select for quality? I agree they do seem to be good VFM, not sure about postage and HMG IDs though.
