Really looking forward to this release! Scott, Stephan Harris, Roy Hargrove, Josh Roseman and others are the reasons why jazz is not dead, as implied on another thread here.

Anthony, I'll think you'll enjoy it. I played it three times yesterday and it is good and a grower. I love Roy Hargrove also - I have seen him several times now but will never forget him and his big band at the Village Vanguard - mindblowing. Anyway, from the other thread all I take a way is that jazz is not dead (in fact it is very alive and quite exciting at the moment) but maybe some other things are.

Howard - I have put Christian Scott in the CD changer for when I chauffeur you to Bristol. I will fill up the other 5 slots as well with lots of good noodlings for you to enjoy

I agree! I saw Roy at Yoshi's in San Fran last month and he was dynamic! He had Pharoa Sanders on the bill, who appeared addled and lost until he stepped to the mike and played the most coherent solos of the night!

BTW, I appreciate your posts of the music, keep it coming

No it is lots more tracks. A superb album and it just brings back good memories of life in sunny Sydney. If you ever get the chance to see him live take it. It knocked me for six - stunning.

Re : Garrumul album, Strange Spotify only have 4 tracks, quite haunting sounds, there are another couple of tracks with the Saltwaterband , which sound good too.
