In a vaguely similar vein to Sade, Beady Belle from 2003.

that is one that leaves ME cold. I just keep buying discs with Nguyen, and don't get him.
How was your second encounter with Couturier ? (Playing it again…)

I know what you mean about Nguyen, but last night driving in London it just came across so well. And the system in the car sounded superb which made it even better.
I have not been brave enough yet for the second Couturier listen. I will have to wait for the right mood!

Allan Holdsworth 'Metal Fatigue' (1985) Great when instrumental, which is mostly is, bad when the vocals are there, and ends with a truly painful track. Still some amazing guitar, bass and drum playing.

On CD:-
This is the FIRST time I've every got all the way through this.

On vinyl:
This is the original vinyl release now with tattered sleeve. I'm wondering what the recent re-release sounds like...
Another favourite from my youth

This to see if I can get at least a couple of MB tracks that are not crushed and compressed.
