I was getting bored last week and decided to co-locate all early German pressings that have the silver hub going all the way through. By chance I discovered that this includes this title and quite a few ECMs that I must have bought when the whole CD thing started. Geeky, I know. Smile

She was probably better known for her "acting" or looks initially. Has she changed her music? She always sounded breathless and reaching for notes, to me.I admit that sample was a couple of tracks, way back when, the mini was worn, or if driven made in the UK.
She's 3 years older than me , no prizes for guessing who looks the better for it.

Edouard,

I think if you are into all things french then she is fairly well known. This album received some UK press when it was released. I have quite a few French singers in my collection.

Lontano: Great choice. Have you got 'Rejoicing', a recording he did with Charlie Haden in his trio? Worth getting the Japanese edition CD which is rather pricey?

Thanks Irwin - I have every Pat album as he is one of my favourite artists. I saw him a couple of nights ago with his Orchestrion and will see him again in July when he brings his "Group" to the UK.

Rejoicing is a great album. The ECM recordings are so good on regular edition that my view is that there is nothing to be gained from spending extra on Japanese editions. ECM do not remaster their CD's so at the end of the day you are probably paying for nothing more than the fact that it is Jap.
