Hard for me to believe but two of my favourite artists have their 60th birthdays to day (Steve) and tomorrow (Peter). Time flies.

Lontano and Munch:

Been listening to snippets of Robert Glasper. The guy is really good. His latest from last year, 'Double Booked' also sounds very tasty. Excellent choice guys. I will be putting him on my wish list ... thanks to you chaps.

That's a long wait. I am sure it will be quicker. When I was living in Sydney, parcels from the UK took 5 days to arrive. Are there no good sellers in Malaysia?

Lontano:

There are a few good shops around Kuala Lumpur. However, that album is not found there. I have been hunting for awhile. They stock some of Pat's newer albums, plus some of his remastered older albums. I just wished Tower Records did not fold up over here. The competition from the local CD 'pirates' was just too much to bear. They used to have a dedicated jazz room. Now all you get with the shops is a couple of shelves of jazz CDs.

By the way, it is arriving via standard post from the US. It usually arrives in my pigeon at the office with 2-3 weeks. 18-32 days is the official quote.

Munch:

Thanks for flagging David Gray. I will have to put in on when I get back to Shah Alam. I have not listened to that album in a long time. I usually associate it with some really happy times / memories in the UK when chilling out with friends who were not into the jazz / world music / blues that I usually listen to. Superb pop album. What's happened to him? No heard about him in this part of the world.

Munch:

Listened to snippets of David Gray's new album. Sounds nice but it does not yet have the happy memories that I have attached to White Ladder. Will put it on my wish list. Thanks!
