While I've got it on.

Quotes - "like dub being streamed from an old arcade system"

"this is the in the twilight circus league of modern dub excellence and there can be no higher recommendation than that"

Been listening to snippets of Robert Glasper. The guy is really good. His latest from last year, 'Double Booked' also sounds very tasty. Excellent choice guys. I will be putting him on my wish list ... thanks to you chaps.

Irwin, his new album Double Booked is an album of two very different halves. Two different bands and two very different styles of music. Just check that you like the second half as it is not the piano trio of the first half.

You're right. The second half is going to take repeated listening to fully appreciate. Just listened to the snippets though. The album is in my shopping cart. Just waiting for next month's budget to be able to make that purchase plus a host of other albums ... that to you guys who have infected me with 'Ihavegottohavethatalbum'titis! Big Grin

A question that springs to mind is, why?
A guy with his talent, can't he write his own stuff any-more ?
It pisses me off when you have to buy tickets so far in advance that you don't know what you might have to listen to.
I was really looking forward to his gig, I'm not so sure now, I hope he will do other stuff too.
IMO this is so dreary and does nothing for the songs or PG.

Quote on the website "I'm now going to Listen to some Leonard Cohen to cheer up".

Thanks for the link Lontano, I have given this a quick listen.

I really am not a Peter Gabriel fan, although I did see him a couple of times in the 80's, my tastes have moved away from his music. I am afraid this confirms that.

I don't think he has fallen as low as David Sylvian's recent output, but then I never found his highs up there with Sylvian either.

There are at least two songs that want to make you sing very loud Smile
